Teguise is a Canarian municipality in the north-central and the eastern portion of the island of Lanzarote in the Las Palmas province in the Canary Islands. The main industries are agriculture and tourism. The Atlantic Ocean is to the northwest and east and the mountains are around the municipality.
The town was founded in 1414. Teguise served as the capital of the island until the capital moved to Arrecife in 1852.
